Jap Edsall of the Fort Wayne Electric works, and his wife, went to Wolf Lake this morning, near which place they will attend a reunion of the Wynebrenner family tomorrow. The heads of the families are three brothers and three sisters and they hold reunions every year. Last year there were seventy-eight in attendance and each person was connected either by birth or marriage with the family. Mr.(sic: Mrs.) Edsall is a member of the family (Ft. Wayne Sentinel;Sept. 3, 1902).

Jasper N. Edsall Dies at Age of Eighty Years at Home of His Daughter; Father of Mrs. Sutton
Jasper N. Edsall, aged 80, Civil War Veteran and a resident of Fort Wayne for 60 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rose Sutton, 2032 Oliver Street, at 7:45 o'clock this morning. A complication of diseases resulted from an attack of lagrippe, caused his death. Mr. Edsall was born in Darke County, Ohio.
He enlisted in the Union army when but 20 years old and served throughout the war, serving in practically all of the major engagements. He was first sergeant of Company G, 144th Indiana Volunteers. At the close of the war he settled in Fort Wayne. For 33 years Mr. Edsall was a conductor for the Pennsylvania railway. He worked 15 years for the General Electric Co. here, retiring about 12 years ago. He was a member of the First M.E. Church; Sion S. Bass post, No. 40, GAR; Union Veterans' Legion, post No. 57; and an honorary member of the Woman's Relief Corps and the Daughters of Veterans.
Besides his daughter, a son, Frank Edsall of Chicago, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two half-sisters and a half brother survive (The News-Sentinel; November 7, 1924).

Mrs. J.E. Bear and daughter, Hattie, from Ottawa, Kas., are visiting her brother, Mr. Jasper Edsall, of No. 261 Hanna street (Aug. 19, 1880; Fort Wayne Sentinel).
