the 1930 census for Roswell, Chaves, NM, gives Charlie's parents names as Charles P. and Emma Wooldridge. However,one of his nieces has said that his parents were Charles Edward "C. E." "Charley" Wooldridge and Nancy Emma Clark", who were divorced.

Charlie had been a linotype setter, that is a person who sets type for a newspaper. He also had been a small rancher in New Mexico, having had ranches in Lincoln and __________ Counties, NM.

He also was a member of the National Association of Louisiana Catahoulas and raised them. If you don't know, a catahoula leopard is a dog known for its abilities in working cattle. He was very proud of them.

Charlie was Jim's adoptive, not biological, father. Charlie and Beulah had no biological children.
