HAZLEHURST - Mrs. Jeffie Mae Gandy, 86, died Thursday in Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Services are 2 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Sardis Cemetery.
She was a Copiah County native and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, C. A. Gandy, Wallace Gandy and Walter Gandy, all of Hazlehurst. James Denver Gandy and Robert Lee Gandy, both of Oxen Hill, Md., Luther K. Gandy of Chattanooga, Tenn., John H. Gandy of Vicksburg and Marion M. Gandy of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Mrs. Linnie G. Shirley and Mrs. Ninnie G. Bennett, both of Jackson; brothers, Clyde Armstrong of Hazlehurst; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
