Shane Clark, 33, of Springfield passed away at 9:40 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his home. Shane was born February 28, 1977 in Carthage, MO. Shane was a Carthage native, currently residing in Springfield. Shane graduated college with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from Missouri State University in Springfield. He was employed as an independent agent with the Weiss Insurance Agency. Shane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage. He volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, he was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Rams Fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Shane is survived by his father, Steve Clark of Carthage, one brother, Eric Clark and his wife Kristin of Webb City, MO, one sister, Heather Gibson and husband Kelly of Carthage, the love of his life Staci Holland of Springfield, 4 nieces and nephews; Emma Bollinger, Bryce Bollinger, Clayton Elliott-Jones, and Kolten Gibson and several loving cousins, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his "best-friend'-Turbo. Shane was preceded in death by his mother; Sharon Kay Clark-Hewett on August 14, 2002.
Visitation will be in Springfield on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2210 Republic Street, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Carthage. Visitation in Carthage will be 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Those wishing to make donations can do so do the Ronald McDonald House at 949 E. Primrose, Springfield, MO 65807 Arrangements are under the direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home.
