Melva Gale Nelson, who exemplified love, faith, and service to her family, passed away on August 3, 2006.
She was born March 31, 1916 to George Henry Gale and Elsie Kartchner Gale in Liberty, New Mexico. Melva, the ninth of eleven children, was raised in a warm and loving LDS family in Chandler, Arizona.
While attending school, she met Robert Wiley Nelson, and after their courtship they married in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple on December 4, 1936. Together, they raised six good and honorable children.
