A Funeral service was held at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McFarlan, NC. Visitation was held from 2:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morris was born April 16, 1929 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Robert Ross and Charlie Bell Ratliff Jones. She was a former employee of Robertson's Manufacturing and a member of Cheraw Church of God. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and a true Christian Lady. She was married to the late Dewey Thomas Morris, and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Crowley; and 1 sister, Wilma Jones Wise.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Robert Dewey (Betty) Morris of Ruby, SC and James Thomas (Pat) Morris of Cheraw, SC, 2 Daughters: Brenda Morris (James) Crowley of Cheraw, SC and Margaret Morris (Terry) Sellers of Chesterfield, SC, 1 Sister: Irene J. Carter of Rock Hill, SC, 5 Grandchildren: Denise M. (Tim) Davis of Ruby, SC, Chrystie Crowley of Cheraw, SC, Cheryl Morris of Ruby, SC, Amy Crowley of Florence, SC and Ashley Sellers of Chesterfield, SC, Also 4 Great Grandchildren: Brittany, Amber, Lillian and Alyssa.
