On the 1930 Mullens, Wyoming, WV census, I found hardware store manager John R McNutt, 58; wife Aurelia, 53; daughters or sons: Mildred, 26; Douglas, 24; Harry, 21; Buford, 18, all VA born, and 3 roomers.
His WV Death record states John Rice McNutt, II, a hardware merchant, was born 1871 in Lexington, VA, the husband of Aurelia McClung, the son of Capt. John Rice McNutt and Mildred "Welch," (sic) died on 22 Jul 1942 in Mullens, Wyoming Co., WV and was buried on 24 Jul 1942. He was aged 71 years, 2 months and 16 days. Cause of death was cerebral hemoraage and senile debility. Buford McNutt was the informant and he was buried in Lexington, VA. WV Register of Deaths, Book 4, p 324. Based on this age and death date, he was born on 8 May 1871.
