Carole E. Jones deOgburn, of Charleston, entered peacefully into eternal rest on the morning of February 9, 2011, to be with her beloved husband, Lt. Col. George T. deOgburn, Jr., USAF (Ret.).

Mrs. deOgburn was born October 31, 1931, in Essington, PA, the daughter of Vernon Luther Jones and Irene Amelia White Jones.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas Scott deOgburn and wife, Karen, of Kingston, MA, Mark Jeffrey deOgburn, Sr. and wife, Kathy, of Charleston and Todd Alan deOgburn and wife, Kathy, of Baltimore, OH; a sister, Sandy Jacoby and husband, Gary, of Ft. Worth, TX; a sister-in-law, Charlotte deOgburn of Homestead, FL; a brother-in-law, Jack deOgburn and wife, Gwen, of Miami, FL; five grandsons, Ryan Cole, Dallas Scott, Taylor Sage, Mark Jeffrey Jr. and Thomas Joseph to carry on with the strength and persistence that she bequeathed to them. The family would like to specially thank Gina, who cared for Carole with complete love in her later years of life.

May Carole rest in peace in God's loving hands.

She was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery along with her late husband.
