The daughter of Frederick William Laabs and Caroline Tank, she worked at the former Edgewood Arsenal for 27 years and received many awards for her efficiency and secretarial skills. She enjoyed countless hours boating with the Taylors on the Chesapeake Bay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Laabs; and two sisters, Irma Hill and Lorraine Mueller. She was also active in the Cokesbury United Methodist Church and Church women. She was survived by one brother, a dear friend, and several nieces and nephews.
