GREENVILLE Ronald Tart, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Marion County Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Aynor, a son of the late Flora Mae Parker and Elbert Murry Tarte .

He was a graduate of Aynor High School Class of 1959, and was inducted into the Aynor High School Hall of Fame in 1996. He was a life member of the Optimist Club. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda T. Money of Greenville and Christy Tarte of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Bobby Earl Tarte of San Antonio and Eddie Tarte of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Doris Todd of Conway, Betty Jean Martin of Aynor and Helen Howland of Myrtle Beach; a special nephew, Steve Bunker of Sumter; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Barns, Chelsea Martin, Darrel Tarte .

He was predeceased by two sons, Ronald Douglas and Larry Allen Tarte .

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Palmetto Funeral Home in Conway.

The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Faith Baptist Church in Aynor. The Rev. Larry Peavy and the Rev. Raulin Booth will officiate. Burial will be in Aynor Cemetery.
