Jason Paul Wolfe, 40, of Greenleaf Drive, Cresaptown, Maryland, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at his residence.
Born on Sept. 26, 1970, at Cumberland, he was a son of Linda Susan (Lancaster) Wolfe, of Hyndman, Pa., and the late Richard K. Wolfe. He also was preceded in death by an uncle, Louis Miller.
Mr. Wolfe was a 1988 graduate of Allegany High School. He was employed with the residential staff at Friends Aware, Cumberland, and was a member of the Dawson United Methodist Church, Dawson. Jason was a loving, son, brother, uncle and grandson. He loved going to the ocean and the beach, especially Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was an avid sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Boston Red Sox.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Justin Aron Wolfe, of Hyndman and Richard K. "J.R." Wolfe Jr. and wife Timmea, of Roanoke, Va.; his grandmother, Orpha Lancaster and her friend Bill Shepherd, of Cresaptown; loving niece and nephews, Essance, Malachi and Jaeden Wolfe and his best friends, Derek Young, Gary Johnson, Dwayne Helmstetter and Kai.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Merle Correll officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Dawson Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
