Clarence Lancour - MATRQUETTE [sic] -- Services for Clarence S. Lancour will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fassbender Funeral Home in Marquette, with the Rev. Louis Cappo, rector at St. Peter Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery in Marquette. Mr. Lancour, 81, formerly of 146 W. Spring St., died Monday evening at the Orchard Adult Foster Care Facility in Marquette, where he was a patient one month. He was ill the past five years. Born Sept. 7, 1909, in Gladstone, to Joseph and Anna (Arschambo) [sic] Lancour, he lived in Marquette County most of his life. He was a self-employed woodsworker. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Ketola of Gwinn, Blanche Latvala of Rock and Mrs. Roy (Margaret)Blake of Red Mountain, Calif.; five sons, Clarence S. Lancour Jr. of Grand Rapids, Ralph and Lawrence Lancour, both of Rock, Dwight Lancour of Red Mountain, and Orval Lancour of Pinehurst, Idaho; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service. Pallbearers will be James Beaumont, Larry Pittman, Steve Calhoun, Don Burdick, Lyle Holzhauer and Kenneth Kiltinen.
