DEATH OF FORMER COLLIN CITIZEN AT RANGER, TEXAS :

WM LINDSEY, aged about 71 years died at his home at Ranger, Texas at 1:20 o'clock Monday morning, April 6th. The deceased was injured by a train at Forth Worth several years ago, since which time he has been practically an invalid up to the time of his death.

The deceased was a son of the late David Lindsey of Melissa, a pioneer Collin County citizen. His wife who survives was Miss Mollie Farley, daughter of the late William N. Farley.

He is also survived by four or five children and by the following brothers & sisters : Henry Lindsey of McKinney, Joe Lindsey of Melissa, James Lindsey of near Fort Worth, Mrs. J. O. Belden of McKinney, Mrs. John Coffey of Valdasta and Mrs. P. H. Parsons of Denison. Mrs. Belden and Joe Lindsey of Melissa attended the funeral.

Funeral services for "Grandfather", W. E. Lindsey, Lackland Addition of Ranger were to be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Central Baptist Church with Rev. A. L. Leake officiating
"Grandfather" Lindsey as he was affectionately known by many died early this morning at his home on Byrens Avenue. He was about 80 years old, a resident of Ranger for years and witnessed the start of the town and watched it grow to its present size
Decedent is survived by widow, Mrs. W. E. Lindsey and two daughters; Mrs. Lon Williams and Mrs. J. S. Ballew of Ranger
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery of Ranger.
