Marie H. "Mama Rea" Ray, age 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday February 9, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Ray was born January 31, 1919 in White Cliffs, Arkansas. She was a retired inspector for Day and Zimmerman and was a member of the Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church for over 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Ray, her parents, Jimmy and Katie Hogue, one brother, Leo Hogue, two sisters, Florine Seymour and Ida Odom, one step son, Johnny Ray.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline and Gary Andrews of Maud, Texas, Rita Frei of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Bonnie Joyner of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Mona Mathis, Johnia Kyles, Buddy Green, Jeffery Green, Breia Cardenas, Chris Andrews, Roger Morton, Jondalyn Roberts, Rhanda Wright and Richard Ray; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Carlen, Madison, Kendall, Brett, Calyn, Garren, Denver, Kenley, Ashlyn, Abby, Tori, Isabella, Gatlin, Rayden, Tylie, Kamden, Slayde, Hunter, Michael, Alyssa, Ray, Cole, Sydnee, Kaine, Presley, Lorrin, Nicole, Colton, Taylor and Tori, Cristen, Camille, Chael and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Minter and Bubba Green officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.
