Storm Blamed in Deaths of 2 Youths

TUSCON (AP) (August 3rd, 1974 ) - A storm that dumped more than an inch of rain on some parts of the city Friday has been indirectly blamed for two deaths here.

Jesse M. Teague. 17, and Reed K. Miens, 20, both of Tucson, drowned Friday afternoon in Tanque Verde Falls east of here when rains turned a wash into a torrent.

Pima County Sheriff's deputies said Teague was pulled under by the swirling water and Miens apparently drowned trying to save him.
