Robert E. Reese, 81, of Bremen, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007, at Bremen Community Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1925, in Marshall County, to David & Violet (Hepler) Reese. On July 4, 1947, he married Janice Marshall, she survives.

He was an Operating Engineer for Local 150 for 45 years, where he became Union Organizer. He also held office as Vice Chair of the Marshall County Democratic Party for many years after his retirement. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. He and his wife enjoyed sightseeing. He served his country in WWII in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife: Janice of Bremen, 1 Son: Jeffery Reese of Bremen, 3 Daughters: Candiese (Bob) Walls of Syracuse, Rebecca (Jim) Thompson of Syracuse, Jill Greene (partner Frank Rupp) of Plymouth, 7 Grandchildren: Chad Reese of Bourbon, Mickey Myers of Bremen, Shane Holloway of Syracuse, Steven Thompson of Bloomington, Jereme & Heather Green of Lapaz, Tiffeny Reese & Andrea Feary of Freeport, IL, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Brothers: Richard Reese of Plymouth, Bill (Martha) Reese of Bremen and 2 Sisters: Jane Ringo of Bremen and Joyce Manning of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Pastor Chuck Krieg will officiate.

Burial will occur in Bremen Cemetery.
