Wanda D. Adams, 75, of Shelbyville, Illinois, formerly of Fulton, Missouri, died April 25, 2003 at Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.
She was born January 26, 1928, in Fulton, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Nevins) Morts. She married Robert T. Adams on June 16, 1947. He preceeded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Devona Eversole of Tower Hill, Illinois, three brothers, Raymond Morts of Fulton, Ralph Morts of Mulberry Grove, Arkansas and Harold Morts of Sierra Vista, Arizona, two grandsons, Nathan and Brandon Eversole of Tower Hill and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceeded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Adams was a Fulton High School graduate. She worked at Southern Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator, at the P&H Hirsh Company and at West Jewelry Store in Fulton.
She was a member of the First Babtist Church of Fulton where she taught youth Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was also a 4-H Leader and a Brownie Troop Leader at Bartley School in Fulton.
Services at 10:00AM Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverand Stephen Sowder officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 5-8PM Monday at the funeral home.
