Herman TePaske was born near Greenleafton, Minnesota in 1871, and a few years later come to Orange City with his parents and has always lived here. As a young man he was married to Miss Elizabeth Vander Aarde who passed away ten years ago. He has served this community as a teacher, County Auditor, Assistant Cashier in the Northwestern State Bank and for the past few years he served int he capacity of City Clerk. He is survived by his brother Anthony TePaske of Sioux Center, and two sons and daughter, Henry TePaske, the present county attorney in this county, and the second son, Bernard, who is employed at Tenant, Iowa. The two daughters, Misses Agatha and Johanna, are still at home. He is also survived by one grandchild. His aged mother-in-law made her home with the family.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home at one-thirty o'clock and at the American Reformed Church at two o'clock in charge of Rev. L. Nattress. Burial was made at the local cemetery.
