Burial will be at Mount Nevelton cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Brooks died Saturday in Tyler.
She was born Nov. 14, 1909, in Mount Enterprise.
She was reared and educated in Troup.
A member of Mount Nevelton CME Church, she served as a stewardess and a member of the Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Brooks and two sons, Elgin and Elroy Brooks.
Survivors include a daughter, Clara Dewberry of Hawkins; sons, L. C. Brooks, Cecil Brooks, James Brooks, Sammie Brooks, all of Bullard, and Verlie C. Brooks of Jacksonville; two sisters, Irene Erwin of Fort Worth and Florine Clayton of Tyler; one brother, J. B. Spencer of Dallas; 21 grand-children; 31 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons of the deceased.
Honorary pallbearers will be steward of Mount Nevelton CME Church.
