She was born March 29, 1919 in Layton, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Hyrum and Lorena Morgan Wiggill.
Erma married Ancil Dennis Fraughton on May 28 1939 Salt Lake City, Utah and sealed eternally July 7, 1981 in the Ogden Utah Temple. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1987. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked many years in the Primary and other callings. Mom and dad served several years as care takers at Lyman Lake Stake Camp.
Starting from age seven, Erma gave service as a care giver to her family members throughout her life.
Surviving are three daughters, Norma Jackson, Layton: Vickie (Paul) Tingey. West Bountiful: step-daughter Ansilene (Vacit) Ozberkmen, McLean, VA: three sons, Glen (Yvonne) Fraughton, New Zealand: Allen (Carol) Fraughton, Pleasant View: Gary (Jackie) Fraughton, Layton: one sister, Una East, Layton: one brother, Melvin Wiggill, Layton: 20 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, four sisters, one brother, grandson, Tom L. Neville and son-in-law, Gary Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquists Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. A special thank you to IHC Hospice.
