Beloved husband and loving father, Harvey Cave Wood, Sr., Age 50, a native of Arizona, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 in Chandler in an accident on his farm. Harvey was born on the 4th of July, 1948 in Safford and came to Mesa with his family at the age of one year. He was a 3rd generation farmer in Arizona. He, along with his grandfather, C.J. Wood, and his father Robert C. Wood, farmed and developed much of the citrus acreage in the East Valley. He also farmed sugar beets in the 1960's & 70's, & later grew cotton & alfalfa.
