SALEM - K. Maxine Hillpot, our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at age 83. She grew up in Salem, worked for Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone for 40 years and was a longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by her loving family-Dave (son) and Diane Hill, Doug (son) and Sue Hillpot and Diane (daughter) and Wayne Searle. Her sister and brother-in-law Macyle and Duane Hewitt were a constant in her life and she lived surrounded by her children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly. Family meant the world to her and she was further blessed with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Waldron, her brother, Dale Woodruff and her sister, Betty Goodrich.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. A reception at the rectory will follow the service with interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Social Services of Marion County Food Share.
