Bell served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. In 1958 Mr. Bell went to work for the Metropolitan Police Department (MPDC) in Washington, D. C. He remained employed with the police department until his retirement in 1978, when he retired as a Detective Sergeant with the Special Operations Division. Buddy was a member of the Masonic Temple, Camp Springs Lodge 227 AF & AM and Solomons United Methodist Church, Solomons, MD.
