DELORA A. "DEE" JOHNSON, 70, died at 4 a.m., Jan. 27, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 22, 1936, in Chillicothe to Clarence and Margaret Mills Gumm, who preceded her in death. She married Gerald S. Johnson Sr., who died Mar. 14, 1998.
Mrs. Johnson was the "Bait Lady" at B & B Bait & Tackle and she retired from Lima City School District as the cafeteria manager at Emerson Elementary. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary. She loved her pond, fishing, camping, bowling and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald S. Johnson Jr. and Bill (Rose) Johnson, both of Lima; two daughters, Cheryl Rollins and Chris Wehrly, both of Lima; three brothers, Robert (Bettie) Gumm and Larry (Betty) Gumm, both of Lima, and Bill (Debbie) Gumm, of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Don Rollins, of Lima, and Bud Wehrly, of Bluffton; and a daughter-in-law, Jill Johnson, of Lima.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a grandson, Carl Wehrly; and a brother.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Siferd Funeral Home. The Rev. Russel Gumm will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
