Daniel B. Bailey was the son of William Bailey born 14 Jun 1794 Edgefield Co, SC and Grace McMillen born about 1800 in KY and died unknown between 1840-1850 in KY or MO.
Daniel B. came to Dade Co, MO about 1853, then followed his father and brothers to Platte Co, MO Marshall Twsp and remained there briefly until selling his land in 1856 to his father. At the breaking out of the Civil War Daniel went to Weld Co, CO buying land, selling livestock and prospered. He did return to Dade Co, MO and died there in 1908. His home is still standing and is a residence.

Daniel B. Bailey married Mary Elnor McMillin about 1849 in KY. She was the dau of Patrick Keenan McMillin and Mary Long. Daniel B. and Mary Elnor McMillin had the following children;
