Son of Isaac Vincent who came to Georgia from North Carolina. Captain in Creek War of 1836 and the Mexican War. Clarke County Sheriff; Georgia Legislature; Capt. Clarke County Rifles, CSA.

Clarke County's first casualty of the Civil War.
