LAUREL — Myrtle J. Polson

Myrtle J. Polson, 80, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Memory Chapel with burial in the Oak Hill Section of Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. Rev. Allen Hill will officiate.
She was a member of West Laurel Baptist Church and prior to retirement was a clerk at Whiteway Cleaners.
Mrs. Polson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Sleepy) Polson in 1991; parents, Milton Osborne and Gertrude Ayers Osborne; and brothers, James Osborne and William Osborne.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Carole Sasser (Mike Johnson) and Kathy Lynn Polson, all of Laurel; three grandchildren, Ashlee Knight (Nathan), Kody Sasser and Michael Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Rider Knight and Grayson Knight; and sister, Brenda Lee (E. C.) of Wedowee, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Kody Sasser, Mike Johnson, Michael Johnson, Nathan Knight, Ray Polson and Johnny Polson.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
