Angela E. Tucker-Clay, age 63, of Merrillville passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. Survived by husband, James Clay Jr.; devoted daughter, Chonn Whiting; grandson, Chase Whiting-Wirth all of Merrillville; one aunt, Josephine Thompson of Miller-Gary, IN; brother, Larry (Barbara) Stephens of Milwaukee, WI; godmother, Clifford Flye of East Chicago; mother-in-law, Mary Gardner; brother-in-law, Anthony Clay; and a host of cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Cordovers and Mrs. Mildred Tucker; dogs, Hannable and CoCoa; grandsons, Alexander and Aspen Brooks; goddaughter, Tia Madgrial. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Temple COGIC 3711 Pennsylvania Ave. East Chicago. Rev. David Blakely officiating. Entombment Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hinton & Williams Funeral Home 4859 Alexander Avenue East Chicago from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Tucker-Clay was retired from Inland Steel after 27 years of employment. Angela was a member of Local # 1010 and the Inland Steel softball and volleyball teams (champions). She was a long time member of Faith Temple COGIC of East Chicago, Indiana; and a graduate of East Chicago Washington "Senator" class of 1965.
