Philip E. Herr, 65, of rural Warren, Jackson Township Wells County, IN, passed away at 5:55 AM, on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, April 3, 1945, in Bluffton, IN. He was the son of the late Harold Herr and the late Lavelle (Boxell) Herr.
Phil married Mary Lee (Gearheart) Herr on November 16, 1963 at the McNatt Methodist Church. Phil graduated from the Jackson Center high school class of 1963. He worked at Franklin Electric for 43 and a half years before retiring in 2007. Phil was a farmer and loved his John Deere tractors. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include, Wife-Mary Lee (Gearheart) Herr of Warren, Ind., Daughter-Jody (Rick) Cooper of Gaston, Ind., Son-Ben Herr of Warren, Ind., Brother-Steve (Karen) Herr of Warren, Ind., Sister-Sharon (Harvey) DeWeese of Samborn, N.H., Sister in Law-Connie Herr of Warren, Ind., Grandsons-Kurt Huffman, Kyle Huffman, Alex (Diana) Cooper, Granddaughter-Bree Campbell and Four Great Grandchildren: Laney, Tyler, Shay and Armani.
He was preceded in Death by: Mother-Lavelle (Boxell) Herr, Father-Harold Herr, Brother-Richard Herr.

Matilda St., Warren, Ind., where family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2011. A service to celebrate Phil's life will be at Asbury United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2011 with the Pastor Phillip Freel officiating.
