He was born Dec 19, 1916 in Muscotah, Ks. and served in the army from 1940 to 1945. He married Doris Samson April 4, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked at the Mountain Home Air Force Base for Civil Service for 25 years, and later worked for Senior Citizens as a director.
He was a member of the Congregational Church and was president of the Sagebrush Shufflers Squaredancers.
Surviving are his wife, Mountain Home, a son, Merlin, Boise, a daughter, Lois Cox, Fremont Ca., a brother, Marvin, Muscotah, four sisters, Mrs. Susie Goodnough, Las Vegas, Mrs. Lottie Tate, Peabody, Kan. Mrs. Cory Kurtz, Atchinson, Kan., and Mrs. Minnie Taylor, Williamsburg, Kan., and a grandson. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at the chapel today from 6 until 9 p.m.
