Leslie Burrow

Leslie James Burrow, 89, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born Dec. 3, 1915, in Monette, Ark., son of the late Jesse James and Mattie Childers Burrow, he was an auctioneer and a member of the Stanfield Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkton, Mo.

On Oct. 2, 1937, he married Christine Kathleen Champlin, who preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2000. He was also preceded in death by three sons, Lonnie, Donald and Paul Burrow.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie William Burrow, of Holcomb and James Burrow, of Lepanto, Ark.; five daughters, Lou Weaver, of St. Francis, Ark., Wilma Troutt and Aline Redman, both of Holcomb, Judy McCarley, of Clarkton and Mae Medlin, of Bono, Ark.; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
