BURKE, Leslie Comstock Age, 76, of Prestonsburg, died Saturday, August 7, 2004 at her residence. Born November 20, 1927, in Allen, she was the daughter of the late Carl Comstock and Mattie May Comstock. She was a homemaker; a member of Community United Methodist Church, Prestonsburg; and a volunteer at Highlands Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Burke, who died November 1, 1995. Survivors include three daughters: Jeanne Blankenship (Sam), Vicki Lee Brown (Wayne), and Leslie Kay Willis (Don), all of Prestonsburg; two brothers: Bobby Comstock of Martin, and Gene Comstock of Jeffersonville, Indiana; four grandchildren: Beth Moore, Jilleyn Brown, Jennifer Willis Smith and Joey Willis. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Comstock Assef. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 10, at 11 a.m., at the Community United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Interment was at Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel. Active pallbearers: Joey Willis, Tyler Burke, John Burke Jr., Robert Comstock, Danny Assef, Matt Smith, Bill May, and George May. Honorary: all her sisters in Christ. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Community United Methodist Church, 147 Burke Ave., Prestonsburg.
