Nimrod's first wife was Mary Elizabeth Dawson, b.26 Mar 1832 in Albemarle Co., VA, d. 20 Apr 1874 in Lewis County, WV.

Foster:- Nimrod Foster, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Lewis county died at his home on Clover Fork., hear Orlando, on Thursday, September 23, 1915, at the advanced age of eighty-four years.

He was one of the cornerstones of the Clover Fork Methodist Protestant Church--was its chief builder, and remained a pillar to the close of his life.

He was a native of the "Old Dominion" but came to Lewis county with his family in his young manhood and has ever since been identified with its interests. The name of his first wife is wanting(possible Nancy DAWSON from Virginia near Apton), but his second was a Miss Riffle of Lewis county, and he was the father of eighteen children.

The funeral took place from the home on September 25 and was conducted by the Rev. J.H.Ramsey, of the Burnsville charge. Interment was made in the Clover Fork cemetery.
