Sarah Jo's burial location at Round Mountain Cemetery east of Gore has been lost. Her father was buried next to her near a tree, but at some point only "ith" in her father's surname remained to mark the location of their graves. Sarah's son Tom, Jr. would travel from Edmond, OK every year on her birthday to place flowers on their grave. Tom Jr.'s son Ernest never knew exactly where his grandmother's grave was and absent an extant gravestone there is no other record of who is interred at this cemetery. All attempts in 2001 by the writer failed to find any remnant of David Nessmith's grave as a guide.
