Roy P. Lephart, 62, died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Lephart, who lived most of his life in Muncie, was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Moose Lodge 33, Eagles Lodge Aerie 231, American Legion Post 0470, Fishers, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Red Men's Lodge, Anderson, Borg Warner Sympathy Club, and United Auto Workers Union Local 287. He attended Full Gospel Temple. He was a truck driver at Warner Gear for 37 years before he retired in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lephart; two sons, Roy Lephart and Troy Lephart (wife-Lori), both of Muncie; a daughter, Cheryl Snider (fiance-Bob Rains), Muncie; six brothers, Harold Lephart (wife-Priscella) and Jimmy Lephart (wife-Betty), both of Springport, David Lephart (wife-Rozell), Carl Lephart (wife-Gayle), and Fred Lephart, all of Muncie, and Don Lephart (wife-Gayle), Selma; three sisters, Audrey Beal (husband-Richard) and Norma Craig (husband-Robert), both of Muncie, and Francie Huxhold (husband-Don), Yorktown; a grandchild, Brandy Snider, Muncie, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, William and Mabel Cowan Lephart, and four brothers, Floyd Lephart, Ivan Lephart, Earl Lephart, and Ernie Lephart, are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary, with Revs. Denny Helton and David Helton officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Veterans Organization of Delaware County. Calling will be 3-9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
