Funeral services for Ruth Ellis,85, of West Helena will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct 8,2004 at the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. The Rev. Charles Shipman will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Born May 6, 1919 in Osceola, died Oct. 1,2004 in Little Rock. The old Helena Hospital employed her as a nurse. She was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves a daughter Shirley Shipman and husband, The Rev. Charles Shipman of Helena; two granddaughters, Cynthia Jo Goode of Lexa and Jamie Lynn Woodyard of Hous5on Texas; a grandson Robert Wood Hicks Jr., of Houston; seven great-grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Her husband Graham "Dude" Ellis preceded her in death.
