MARGARET MARIE JACKSON CARTWRIGHT PARSONS ABRAMS

Margaret Marie Jackson was born October 5, 1895 in Moyock, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Martin Van Buren Jackson and his wife, Annie Laurie Horton.

Margaret married William Jarvis Cartwright who was the son of William Cartwright and his wife, Cordelia Davis.

Margaret and William had two children, Margaret Weatherly Cartwright (1912-1992) and Harold Tilton Cartwright (1917-1928). Margaret and William divorced in 1917, at that time Margaret moved to Great Bridge in Norfolk County, Virginia and lived with her children at her mother and stepfather's home on Johnstown Rd.

Margaret married second to Joseph Estelle Parsons on October 11, 1921. They lived in Norfolk, Virginia. Joseph died in 1939.

Margaret married third to Gus Abrams. The marriage ended in divorce in the 1960's.

Margaret was loved by her family who lovingly called her "Big Mama" --along with her daughter she also had one granddaughter, a son-in-law, and four great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
