From the New Albany Daily Ledger Standard, Thursday Nov. 16, 1876:
Death of James H. Robinson
The many friends of Mr. James H. Robinson will regret to learn of his death, which occurred at the family residence on Lower Fourth street this morning. Mr. R. was a native of this city, and was born here on the 25th of June 1831. He was a quiet and unobtrusive citizen and generally respected by his many acquaintances. In his last hours he expressed his willingness to submit to the decree of overruling Providence in removing him from the world in the meridian of life, and requested that his funeral take place from Wesley Chapel Church, of which his father and mother are among the earliest members.
