Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Jenkins Kendall was the daughter of William Francis & Annie Elizabeth (Rosenberger) Smith, Sr.. She wed Thomas Daniel Jenkins, Jr. in Baltimore, Maryland. To this union there were two daughters born: Evelyn Ann (Jenkins) Kurt ♥ Eleanor Catherine (Jenkins) Rosenberger Jimenez'. Thomas was killed while playing semi pro leatherhead football. He died from a broken neck on December 1, 1933 in Baltimore.
Mary remarried on June 27, 1940 in Baltimore to Charles Howard Kendall. Mary & Charles adopted Eleanor's oldest daughter, Roseanne Marie Rosenberger Kendall, when Rose was only a tiny newborn infant.
Mary & Charles never had children together other than Rose.
Charles had four daughters with his first wife, Viola C. (Flock) Kendall when Viola passed away. Edna Kendall Robinette♥ Betty Jane Kendall Schwalenberg♥Jane A. Kendall Klotz.
