He was born December 15, 1918 in Savannah to Jacob Rahn and Missouri A. Rich Rahn. Mr. Rahn was a native of Savannah, GA. He made his home and living in Savannah as a dairy farmer and rancher. He retired in 1984 after 41 years as owner and operator of Rahn's Dairy.
He continued to operate Running R Ranch, where he raised Appaloosa horses until recently. He was also civically active, a Shriner and was recently presented with a plaque for duties as "Master Mason" for more than 50 years. He was a member of Silk Hope Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by two sons Dainton and Ernest Rahn and one great-grandchild Krista Rahn.
He is survived by his wife Wilhelmina Rahn; a son, David Rahn, Jr.; a daughter, Shirley Smith; thirteen grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; a brother Arte Rahn; two sisters, Ethel Norton and Edna Moss as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Massey-Framke Funeral Care.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Massey-Framke Chapel with The Reverend Donnie Brannen officiating the services.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
