Floyd M. Nichols, age 96, died Monday January 6, 2002 at the Cambridge Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Joseph and Laura E. (Douglass) Nichols. He was a retired farmer, a school bus driver for Madison Schools for over 14 years, B & O Railroad retiree and a Madison Township Trustee. Floyd attended grade school at Blooming Grove and Winterset. He was a 1925 Graduate of Madison High School. He attended the 2001 Alumni Banquet as the oldest living graduate. He was a member of the Valley Grange, Cambridge Auxillary Police Department, Freeport Lodge #415 F & AM, 32nd Degree Master Mason, Scottist Rite Valley Of Cambridge and was a charter member of the Antrim Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ada (Warnock) Nichols who died October 18, 2000 and one daughter Janet S. Nichols. He is survived by two daughters; Rev. Virginia and Ralph Geiger of Cambridge, Beverly Luyster of Barnesville, two sons; Raymond and Ruth Nichols of Antrim and Ronald and Sandra Nichols of Norwich. Twenty grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, also by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Fairchild and Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Burial will follow in Antrim United Methodist Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and also at the graveside.
