Nancy Carol Bradshaw Bryant, age 78, of 104 Rock Creek Drive, Lincolnton, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011, after suffering from a stroke two weeks earlier.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed so much by her loving family and friends. She was their inspiration and was a true angel on this earth.
Mrs. Bryant was born December 29, 1932 to the late Ivery and Bernice Bradshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Nell Ingle.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Henry C. (Sam) Bryant and their daughter Cindy Caldwell and son-in-law, Lanny Caldwell of Lincolnton. She also leaves behind her two granddaughters that meant the world to her, Haley and Lacey Caldwell. Other survivors are her siblings, Doris Miller, Angie Taylor and husband Charles, Eleanor Henley and husband Richard, Steve Bradshaw and wife Brenda, all of Lincolnton. Mrs. Bryant is also survived by her husband's sisters and brother, Shelvia Link, Irene Rosser, Faye Maloney, and Marshall Bryant as well as many nieces, nephews and many treasured friends such as Betty and Fred Houser and Frances Dellinger who are like family.
Mrs. Bryant was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church in Lincolnton. She enjoyed her church and her friends. She loved making flower arrangements, playing the piano, shopping, and spending quality time with her loving family. She worked for the Lincolnton Police Department many years before retiring to spend more time with her loved ones.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 until 8 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., at Emanuel Reformed Church, 329 E. Main Street, Lincolnton with Rev. Earle Potts officiating. Burial will be at Hollybrook Cemetery following the service.
