However, Union Army records for John Mustain shows that he joined at Dardanelle, Yell County, Arkansas, on 03 FEB 1864. He enlisted in Company K, Arkansas 4th Calvary Regiment as a Sergeant. After the war, he married Sarah E. Burnett in Benton County, Arkansas, on 18 OCT 1866. He moved his family from Benton County sometime between 1880 and 1900.
