Lawrence D. Lindsey, 68, of Ebensbug RD 4 died Sunday, July 10, 1988, at the Van Zandt VA Medical Center.

Known as Hap, Mr. Lindsey was born March 30, 1920, in Altoona, the son of Michael(Blair) and Alice (McCaully) Lindsey, and married Doris Zeak, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are eight children; Larry in Michigan, Blair of Johnstown, Bruce of Ebensburg, Steve in Hawaii, Dona Zajaz in New York, Susan Hall and Regina Chamberlain of Altoona and Beth Ann Geissinger of Houston, Texas, and 17 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Ann Ferguson of Altoona.

Mr. Lindsey was an Army veteran of World War II.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
