Funeral services for Emerson "Emmo" Prentiss, 76, of Carnegie will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Botone Memorial Church in Carnegie with Rev. Mike Boyiddle and Rev. Milton Otis officiating.
A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home Chapel in Carnegie.
Emerson was born September 17, 1932 in Mountain View to Stewart and Inez (Guoladdle) Prentiss and died Sunday, march 29, 2009 at the Carnegie Nursing Home.
Emerson attended school in Mountain View. he was a member of the Little Red Church and a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Redbird; second wife, Judy; two daughters, Donna and Carol May Prentiss; one son, Emerson Prentiss Jr.; two sisters, Flora Tsosie and May Apekaum; four brothers, Rueben Prentiss, newton Prentiss, Freddie Prentiss and Evans Anquoe.
Survivors include three daughters,Brenda Prentiss of Anadarko, Sue Bedford of Anadarko, Lynette Prentiss of Arizona; two sons, Carl Prentiss of Anadarko and Mike Prentiss of Anadarko; one sister, Beatrice Geimausaddle of Mountain View; numerous grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Burial will be in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home of Carnegie.
