CONCORD - Andrew J. Seamone, 77, of 352 Aycock Ave. N.E., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. The Revs. Tom Whidden and Eric Burris will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home and will be at the home the remainder of the time.

Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Ruby Helms Seamone. He retired from the City of Concord Hillgrove Plant and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew J. Seamone Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Ailene Hooks Seamone; a daughter, Joyce S. Clay of Concord; three sons, Thomas L. Seamone of Taylorsville, and Bill Seamone and David Seamone, both of Concord; two sisters, Irene Coble of Concord and Becky Riley of Lowell; a brother, James Seamone of Concord; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
