George Morris was the son of Joseph and Hannah Morris. He was married to Grace Hill on May 18, 1881. They had eight children, Charlie, Grace, Archie, March, Lillian, Rhoda, Theresa and Blanche. Charlie and Grace preceded him in death. He was laid to rest in the Masonic and Odd Fellow Cemetery, Franklin County, Illinois.
