Services for Gerald Claxton McIntire, 77, of Ackerman were Jan. 21, 2011, at Salem Independent Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
He was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Choctaw County. Mr. McIntire, a carpenter/construction worker, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Salem Independent Methodist Church. He died Jan. 17, 2011, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Cliff McIntire and Hugh McIntire of Brandon; a daughter, Tanya McIntire of Brandon; a brother, Doug McIntire of Flowood; three sisters, Maxine Gardner of Anahuac, Texas, Johnnie Lipscomb of Brandon and Freida McIntire of Flowood; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.
