Sergeant Engman served with the 30th Bomb Group, 392nd Bomb Squadron aboard CB-24D Liberator #42-63765, nicknamed "Evelyn." He was killed in a crash on Oahu, Hawaii. All twelve servicemembers aboard perished. He was from Ramsey County, Minnesota.
