La Donna Marie Scott, 64, of Pittsburg died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Freeman West Hospital following a long battle with cancer.

She was born June 30, 1941, in Coffeyville to James B. and Nancy H. (Hale) Quinn.

She attended area schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School and later attended Coffeyville Community Junior College.

She married Robert D. Scott on June 11, 1994, in Coffeyville. He survives of the home.

She was the church pianist for several churches in Coffeyville. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 31. She worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant for 32 years in production control. She was a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church in Pittsburg, where she served as the assistant vice president of missions.

Other survivors include a son, Howard Martin II of Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren; and her mother, Nancy Quinn of Coffeyville.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ni Cole Martin.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with the Rev. Howard Martin officiating.

Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville (*This is incorrect - actual location is Fairview Cemetery).

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials to Freeman Cancer Center may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, 66762.
